I wanted to take a few minutes to share with you my experience with the Encompass system and why I think everyone at Fairway should be using it.
I started on the system mid-July. I have closed about 30-35 loans and stopped using Point as soon as I moved over to the system. The learning curve was a bit frustrating because all the paperwork for the file is in the system, and guess what. That is the greatest thing about this system!!
Yesterday while I was on the phone with a client. I ordered an appraisal, submitted a file to DO, submitted that same file to MGIC, ordered a wire and sent a final credit package to Wendy Hanley. I never got up from my desk!
I think that I save about 50-75% of my time by using this system. Also, other people at Fairway have access to my files which means if the investor is looking for something that didn't get sent, they can pull it from the system if they can't find me.
I have spent about 10-15 hours training on the system. It is not painless, but it is fabulous. Really, I can't think of anything fabulous that is painless. I see this system as much more than an LOS. It is a business management tool that is great for loan officers, processors and particularly managers. It allows y you to see every piece of a file from anywhere, and always know exactly what is going on with each file without moving from your computer.
I know that people are struggling to learn the system. I think they should not give up, but should take advantage of all the training that is available. It is a great win for Fairway to have this, and to have Brad. Just my two cents, Mimi
